When can I make the offer?
Free, live nowThe rule: put the job on MyCareersFuture, the government's jobs site, and leave it up for 14 days. You can't make an offer until those 14 days are over, even if you've already found the right person.
Enter the day your ad went up. We'll show you the first day you can make the offer.
- Keep the ad up until

Good news: you probably don't need to advertise first. You still need to choose fairly, so keep a note of why you picked who you picked.
This helps you plan. Check MOM's website before you apply.
Good to know
- Weekends count. It's 14 days in a row, not 14 working days.
- Changed the ad? If you change the salary, the job or how many people you're hiring, post a new ad. The 14 days start again.
- Old ad? If your ad closed more than 3 months ago, post a new one before you apply.
- Salary range: the top of the range can't be more than double the bottom. S$4,000 to S$8,000 is fine. S$4,000 to S$9,000 isn't.
- Don't need to advertise? That's the case if you have fewer than 10 staff or the job pays S$22,500 a month or more. You still need to hire fairly.
Example: your ad goes up on Monday 2 November 2026. Keep it up until Sunday 15 November. You can make the offer and apply for the pass from Monday 16 November.
MOM calls this rule the Fair Consideration Framework (FCF). Source: Ministry of Manpower. Last checked 3 November 2026.

Is my job ad OK?
Free, from February 2027Some words in a job ad can get you in trouble, like asking for someone young, single or of a certain race. Most people don't realise until someone complains.
Paste your ad. We'll highlight anything risky, tell you why, and suggest better words. Works for ads on MyCareersFuture, JobStreet, LinkedIn, Indeed or your own website.
Your ad stays on your computer. We don't see it or keep it.
Operations Coordinator. Join our young and energetic team! Must be single. Must be able to work under pressure and handle 30 drivers. Salary S$3,000 to S$7,000.
- 1
young and energetic→ "a fast-moving team". Asking for young people turns older applicants away. - 2
Must be single→ say what you actually need, like "can do night shifts twice a week". - 3The top of the range is more than double the bottom. Try S$3,500 to S$5,500.

What it looks out for
Based on TAFEP's guide to writing job ads. Last checked 3 November 2026. It catches the common problems, but a clean result doesn't guarantee an ad is fine.
