The MyCareersFuture 14-day calculator

Enter the day your ad went live. You get the last day it has to stay up and the earliest day you can make an offer or apply for the Employment Pass or S Pass.

how it counts

Day 1 is the day the ad goes live. It has to stay up through day 14. Day 15 is the earliest you can make an offer or submit the pass application. That is how the Ministry of Manpower describes the Fair Consideration Framework's advertising requirement for Employment Pass and S Pass roles.

What this calculator leaves out

  • It checks only two of the exemptions (fewer than 10 staff, fixed salary of S$22,500 or more). Short roles and transfers are also exempt: see who doesn't have to advertise.
  • It doesn't know whether your ad's wording, salary range or job details meet MOM's conditions. A rejected ad means starting over.
  • It can't see your MyCareersFuture account. The portal's own dates are the ones MOM goes by.
  • It isn't legal advice. If a date matters, check it against MOM's page before you act.

Questions people ask

Does the 14 days include weekends and public holidays?

Yes. MOM counts 14 consecutive days, so weekends and public holidays are part of the count. An ad that goes live on a Monday has to stay up through the Sunday of the following week.

Can I make a job offer while the ad is still running?

No. MOM says not to make a job offer to any candidate during the advertising period. Day 15 is the earliest. The 14-day rule in full.

Does the same count apply to S Pass hires?

Yes. The advertising requirement is the same for S Pass applications, with the same exemptions.
